The Gamma Iota Chapter at the Rochester Institute of Technology was founded on May 23, 1964.

Giving back is a large part of Alpha Sigma Alpha. We give our time, talent and treasure throughout the year to those who need it most. The organizations that have a special place in Alpha Sigma Alpha chapters all over the nation are the S. June Smith Center and the Special Olympics. Locally, we support other organizations which can be found on our website, and we are now adding to that list IGNITE.

Our open motto is "Aspire. Seek. Attain." In relation to this event, we have aspired to help IGNITE, we sought out a way to do it and decided to do this walk. Now we need YOU to help us attain our goal.
